We liked the position, the kindness of the staff and it a very good value for money.

What a nice, friendly relaxing hotel. I was slightly concerned from reports on Tripadvisor, but there was no need to worry at all, I am fussy about my accommodation, but I can't think of anything I didn't like about it. It is unusual to look at with the paintings and the statues all around, but don't let this put you off. I thought it was a refreshing change from the usual clinical looking hotels with white painted walls and no character. There are a lot of full length mirrors everywhere though.

I shall get straight to the main point: ROMAN HOTEL is an excellent choice for great value, very unique with the decor and certainly stands out from the other hotels in the area. Rooms are nice, clean and with huge floor to ceiling mirrors (great for couples :-)) which is making them look spacious, even the hairdryer was good and powerful, the only thing what is missing is kettle but the bar and restaurant provide boiling water anytime. All the staff is very friendly, helpful and funny (especially the barman who makes very nice cocktails). Restaurant is overlooking the pool area and there is plenty of choice on the breakfast buffet. Dinners are buffet style also, each day different scheme and for 13 Euros you certainly wont be disappointed. Pool is good size with sunny and shady areas around it to relax on plus don’t forget if you prefer full on sun you can try the pool on the roof of the Roman 2 Hotel cross the road. I loved this hotel not only for its decor, but for the great location also. Pafos mosaics, Pafos fort, harbour, tombs of the kings, restaurants and bars, beach everything is walking distance and I would strongly recommend to hire a car as exploring the rest of the island is great fun and very easy plus it works out much cheaper then doing coach trips to sites from travel agencies in Cyprus! (B6 is the scenic road to most of the major tourist attractions and very easy access from roman hotel) All the tourist historical attractions are inexpensive, mostly between 1.72 euro to 3.45 euro and worth of seeing. Overall, Cyprus is a great choice for holidays and Roman Hotel in Pafos (Cyprus) is excellent value and unforgettable for sure.

Just like to thank you for your excellent attention to us whilst we were staying with you and over our enforced extension as we became Volcano Exiles!    The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We love this hotel! We have stayed several times, and love its unique decor, beautiful swimming pool and fantastic central Paphos location. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, with very imaginative and atmospheric decor. Absolutely the best Paphos hotel in its price range and location.

The hotel itself is LOVELY, great decor, and a lovely swimming pool. The Staff were Great, especially the guy behind the main bar (cant remember his name now!).
The BBQ buffet style food in the evening was the best we have ever had at a Hotel. Great Stuff.

Super Hotel, Good Location, Nice Food - Great Value

"Give it a try!"

The Roman Hotel was good value, our room was on the ground floor it was clean, the air con worked well and kept us nice and cool, the pool was small but clean, breakfast was good with enough choice, staff were friendly, ideal location for a walk into the harbour and plenty of bars near by. Would visit the hotel again, its central and good value.

"Wow"

I've never been to the place like this before! good location and friendly staff (including a parrot in the reception area!). even though I've stayed there just for one night, it was unforgettable. cheap and clean. nice stop for a traveller looking for not too expensive and cosy place to stay.

"Quirky/Very Cental Location and Great Weather"

This hotel is so unique and in a central location with buses nearby to take you to the market - this opens Mon/Sat 6am until 2pm - harbour and Coral Bay ( a posy beach area with some shops to boot). There is definitely a beach within 400m as stated. It is a municipal beach which has sunloungers and portaloos and somewhere to have food and drinks. It is situated just round the corner from the hotel along the main road where the buses run and is clearly signposted and is roughly a 5-10minute walk (well it used to be). There is alot to do if you have the energy in the heat in the summer or else you could visit when it is not so hot. The hotel is a little dark inside but sometimes this is pleasant after the bright sunlight of the sun. There are two Roman Hotels in the same little street. Roman 2 is slightly smaller but has a roof top swimming pool and sunloungers and an area where they sell food etc. The main hotel has a pool on the ground floor which is shadier. There are themed evenings whilst eating your meal if you have it at the Roman . They put tables round the swimming pool with candles. Probably the themed evenings happen in the summer months I would think. This year will be my fourth visit and bearing in mind that it is not a four or five star hotel I think that it offers good value.

"Very different!"

mirrors mirrors mirrors every where loved it. went with my mum and the hotel was very friendly and we were on half board basis and found the food was great always hot and plentiful and staff very helpful. our room was great over looking the pool, quiet at night also maid service was excellent. location good loved the tombs in the garden and bet if you go in may the flowers in the gardens would be lovely. only problem was the lighting as it was rather dim for reading, the parrot was cute and bit me but my fault for prodding him. this hotel made our holiday fun as the weather was changeable. Very good value for money and we had no complaints.

"A wonderful quirky hotel / flintstones meets up pompaii"

We booked into this hotel knowing what a great laugh we would have due to quirkiness, not disappointed, having stayed here twice before.. Reception staff on arrival couldn't have been any more helpful. Dining room for both breakfast and dinner excellent choice, eat as much as you like, infact we did not need food for rest of day. Yes food may have been cool but staff helped, putting lids back on food when customers couldn't be bothered. Pool area was great to be able to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. I will be visiting again, and hope its not lost its unique flavour. People should remember not to expect 5 star facilities when paying 3 star prices.

"Excellent value for money"

the hotel is in a good area, close to local amenities and the tourist areas. Compared to the major offerings along the beach-front, the Roman hotel is small and quiet. The staff are very friendly and for the price you can't beat it on value for money terms. If you do find yourself in Cyprus and want somewhere to stay that doesn't cost the earth I would recommend the Roman hotel.
